Smell of Success

Aromatherapy, with its essential oils derived from parts of the plants as well as resins, has the power to rejuvenate by its ability to act on the sense of touch and smell. The pure essences of plants have been used for their therapeutic and relaxing properties as well as for rich fragrances for 6,000 years.

  • A few drops of your favorite essential oils in a small container of coarse salt can be your own "smelling salts."
  • Keep a bottle of Lavender around to breathe for a moment of relaxation.
  • Peppermint essential oil is great to breathe for a quick pick-me-up and also great for headaches.
  • Inhale Neroli (Bitter Orange Blossom), Jasmine or Cape Chamomile before that big meeting. They help alleviate fear and anxiety.
  • Combat germs with a diffuser blend of Eucalyptus Globulus, Pine and Lemon. Also great diluted in distilled water for a natural air freshener.

Quick Tip:

"A tissue is a great makeshift diffuser. Just add a few drops of essential oil and either leave it on your desk, or wave it in the air while you take nice deep breaths." – Noelle Katai, Everybody Nose
